Inside Sales Representative Summary
This is an Inside Sales Representative position focusing on selling our company products and servicing our customer base. This may include maintaining a customer contract, serving contractual customers, quoting and closing contract and transactional opportunities, prospecting for new opportunities and cold calling.
Position requires a "hunter and service " mentality, solid negotiating skills, strong interpersonal skills, computer proficiency, attention to detail, strong math skills and desire to service our customer.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for meeting a budgeted-sales for identified accounts.
- Ensures prompt processing of customer orders and requests for quotation in order to close business.
- Expand existing & develop new relationships with customers.
- Receives and analyzes incoming correspondence and gathers necessary data to formulate replies.
- Provides customer feedback to sales rep., director and marketing
- Maintains contact with plant personnel to ensure that customer Purchase Order requirements are met.
- Supplies outside sales representatives with pertinent information concerning customer activity.
- Acts as customer contact regarding pricing, order status, quality, scheduling & shipping.
- Informs management of pricing levels, competition activities and market conditions.
- Acts as liaison between customers and company.

- Must be willing to work overtime to ensure that projects are implemented on a timely basis.
Additional Responsibilities
- Travel as required
- Prospecting, cold calling, canvassing/leveraging territory & network to gather leads
- Identify leads through phone, email, online and in person
- Handle inbound, unsolicited prospect calls
- Make outbound follow up calls to existing clients via phone & email
- Generating leads advancing sales process, obtaining new customers and assisting in hitting sales targets
Education and Experience
- Bachelor&39;s degree preferred; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior experience within a manufacturing organization
- Knowledge of the metals or aerospace industry is preferred
- Self-Motivated with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
- Ability to work individually and part of a team
