Job Title: Aircraft Paint Prepper
Location: Guntersville, AL
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Aircraft Paint Prepper to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing aircraft surfaces for painting by performing tasks such as cleaning, sanding, masking, and applying primers. The ideal candidate will ensure that the aircraft is ready for the painting process while adhering to industry standards and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Surface Preparation: Clean, sand, and mask aircraft surfaces to prepare them for painting.
- Priming: Apply primers and sealants to ensure proper adhesion of paint.
- Inspection: Inspect surfaces for defects and ensure they are properly prepared for the painting process.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used, ensuring compliance with all company standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in aircraft painting is a plus, but not required.
- Must have paint preparation experience from automotive shop, aerospace company, or industrial environment. Home painting is not transferrable.
- Knowledge of surface preparation techniques and materials.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to inspect for imperfections.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and use PPE correctly.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00
