We are seeking a skilled Soldering Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in IPC-610 and/or J-STD-001 soldering, as well as a solid understanding of printed circuit knowledge and experience. You will be working in an Electro Static Discharge (ESD) environment and using hand tools to build circuit card assemblies. This position requires good written and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to work from electronic work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform soldering tasks in accordance with IPC-610 and/or J-STD-001 standards.
• Build and assemble circuit card assemblies using hand tools.
• Work in an Electro Static Discharge (ESD) environment.
• Use microscopes for detailed work.
• Follow written work instructions, drawings, sketches, and wiring diagrams accurately.
• Inspect the quality of soldered parts.
• Use manual and automatic wire strippers and hand crimping tools.

• Three years’ experience in IPC-610 and/or J-STD-001 soldering.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with printed circuits.
• Experience working in an Electro Static Discharge (ESD) environment.
• Proficiency in using hand tools for building circuit card assemblies.
• Experience with using microscopes for detailed work.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Good computer skills with the ability to work from electronic work instructions.

• IPC-610 Certification.
• IPC-620 Certification.
• IPC J-STD-001 Certification.
• One-year experience in soldering/cable assembly.
• Good manual dexterity.
• Strong mechanical build experience.
• Knowledge of cable termination, including familiarity with crimping specifications and tools.

Work Environment

Our huge manufacturing facility in Oldsmar is very regulated and safety conscious. It is a climate-controlled facility with air conditioning, and employees have their own well-spaced workstations. First shift hours are 5am - 3:30pm Monday - Thursday, with Fridays scheduled off. Second shift hours are 3:30pm - 2am Monday - Thursday, with Fridays scheduled off.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $25.00/hr.
