Arconic is currently in search of Roll Shop Technician to join the Roll Shop in Lancaster, Pennsylvania

Primary Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair comprehensively work roll and back up roll assemblies for all mills.
- Diagnose and repair comprehensively inspect and repair mill roll bearings according to PM schedules.
- Diagnose and repair comprehensively Morgoil Bearings.
- Transport mill rolls in process, load, and unload rolls for plating.
- Maintain preventative maintenance programs
- Diagnose and repair comprehensively Hot Mill brush rolls and drives.
- Diagnose and repair comprehensively high pressure bending cylinders, jack cylinders, and separating cylinders.
- Diagnose and repair comprehensively machinery performance problems and coordinate repairs and modifications. This requires a basic understanding of rolling mill anatomy and rolling theory.
- Participate in company directed training programs.
- Maintain work areas and equipment in clean and orderly condition.
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures, Safety Rules, and Regulations.
- Utilize Oracle eAM for all work orders and labor reporting.
- Must have the ability to handle multiple assignments and gather feedback information to follow up on status of work activities with a high degree of accuracy.
- Instruct and train lower grade repairmen in their development.
- Perform other duties or assignments as required or directed by supervisor.
Basic Qualifications
- 2 years’ experience in a heavy industrial rolling mill
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) from an accredited institution
- Ability to work rotational shifts, including overtime as necessary
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- Must pass apprentice craft maintenance test
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years’ experience in a rolling mill
- Rolling Theory training
- Mechanical and process aptitude- demonstrated with 2 years of prior maintenance experience
- Demonstrated computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, AS400 and Oracle)
- Operate multiple pieces of equipment as determined by the Area Manager
- Ability to make decisions and use problem-solving tools
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to get along with others, be punctual, and complete tasks on-time
