As a Post Press Operator here at Honeywell, you will be accountable for operating post press equipment to finish printed materials and ensure quality and compliance with industry standards. You will play a crucial role in the final production process, ensuring that our printed materials meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
You will report directly to our Production Supervisor and youll work out of our South Bend, IN location.
In this role, you will impact the final product by operating post press equipment such as cutters, folders, and bindery machines. Your attention to detail and adherence to production specifications will be critical in delivering high-quality printed materials to our customers.
Position Overview:
Runs shot peening process on production parts such as, but not limited to, wheels. Before each cycle, refers to job schedule to determine what should be nm, prepares fixture that holds part, lifts part into shot peen machine, and checks all paperwork and relevant blueprints to ensure correct information. Also, runs a test part through the shot-peen machine to verify correct machine settings. Uses gages to examine part and verify results from test run. Following each shot peen cycle, visually checks part for over-peening or "ripple effect."
Key Responsibilities:
- Runs shot peening process on production parts such as, but not limited to, wheels.
- Anodize production parts such as, but not limited to, wheels and piston housings
- Work must be completed within specific time frames depending on production schedules.
- Update related paperwork/work instructions upon completion of tasks.
- Demonstrate safe work habits.
- Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly manner.
- Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems leading to continual process improvements and effectiveness of the team.

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.
Must Haves:
- 2 years experience in Shot Peen process
- Math skills that demonstrate a basic understanding of arithmetic
- Basic reading and writing skills
- Ability to read, understand, and draw blueprints and measuring gages

- Possesses solid teaming and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and can follow written and verbal directions
- Good time-management skills
- Ability to focus on quality while executing job tasks
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
