As a Metrology Technician, you will provide essential quality inspection skills to support the company in achieving optimal levels of safety, quality, productivity, and delivery. Your role is crucial for ensuring both internal and external customer success through the development, qualification, and maintenance of CMM programs, and by operating CMMs for First Piece Inspection and Production Approval.

Responsibilities

• Provide necessary quality inspection skills to achieve optimal safety, quality, productivity, and delivery.
• Develop, qualify, and maintain CMM programs.
• Operate CMMs for First Piece Inspection and Production Approval.
• Read drawings to determine specifications and tolerances for various components.
• Ensure containment activities take place when discrepancies are identified.
• Review and refine data collection requirements according to customer drawings and PPAP requirements.
• Participate in corrective action and preventive action processes.
• Participate in Gage R & R Studies.
• Utilize a wide variety of inspection tools to complete dimensional reports.
• Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

• 1-2 years of experience, ideally 5 years
• Experience in automotive, medical device, or aerospace industries

Work Environment

The shift is from 7 AM to 4 PM, though this may change by a couple of hours. It is an AM shift, and flexibility is needed to meet production demands. The company has a significant need to push parts out efficiently.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $45.00/hr.
