You will work with internal stakeholders to develop innovative solutions that help Air Canada expands its retailing strategy. Responsibilities:Maintain relationships with existing Metasearch partners, Act as a subject matter expert for current Metasearch platforms and features, and assess trends in current technology areas for alignment with Air Canada corporate objectivesWork internally and externally with all relevant stakeholders to communicate current opportunities and address current challengesOversee the day to day relationships with existing distribution partnersPerform frequent Metasearch audits to ensure Air Canada content is being displayed, pricing is accurate and is booked easily.Identify any issues to the stakeholders to address issues and share finding to keep the channel relevantAct as an advisor and subject matter expert to guide andto optimize Metasearch displays to maximize revenue from the channelLeverage internal data related to Metasearch partner performance to ensure maximization of key metrics:increased marginincreased revenue per bookingimproved product mixincreased ancillary attachment rate
Provide support to internal Global Sales team members in the form ofMonthly presentations outlining updates to Metasearch channelsOne on one training with new Sales Managers if required
Key metrics: Execution and delivery of objectives within the agreed timelines and budgets which will be linked to one or more of the following:Contribution to revenue/spanet growth objectivesSupport of merchandising and product integrity strategySuccessful implementation of new Air Canada products into the appropriate distribution channelsAncillary sales and upsell successContribution to global expansion strategiesCustomer satisfactionContribution to reduction of reported issues
QualificationsCollege or university diploma3+ years of relevant work experienceSound working experience in the airline industry a strong assetunderstanding of the dynamics of airline distribution, including GDS and direct distributionWorking knowledge of distribution systems, including NDC, Altea, GDS and XML-APIStrong communication skillsStrong management skills with a demonstrated ability to influence othersForward thinker, with an ability to foster innovation in othersCritical thinking with an ability to identify and understand problems and propose solutionsStrong analytical/problem solving skillsStrong business case development and cost benefit analysis skillsExcellent interpersonal skills; must be a team player and have the ability to work with diverse groups and working stylesSelf-starter, able to multi-task and handle multiple projects simultaneously as well as work under pressure, in changing priorities and tight deadlines under limited supervisionExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with multiple levels of the organizationDemonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment.
