Position Summary
Provides CNC programming support for machining parts & tools on numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools. Ensures parts conform to dimensional specifications and equipment achieves
throughput efficiency. Works closely with CNC Programmers, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Leadership and select contractors / vendors. Specific areas of emphasis will include, but not limited to Multi-Axis Mills and Lathes.
Responsibilities
Programming all CNC machines/controls (Okuma, Fanuc, Haas, etc).
Program with Inventor Cam.
Read and understand blueprints
Cad design 2D AutoCAD and 3D Inventor
Make layouts for machining
Troubleshoot parts and programs on the shop floor.
Set up new parts on CNC Mills and Lathes
Set up new parts and troubleshoot all Muratecs including loaders
Manage routings on the Mainframe
Work with Kanbans
Work with vendors to improve tooling
Able to use all quality tools (Comparators, surface analyzers, and gages)
Contribute to HPT and participate in 5S duties and team-meetings.
Wear proper PPE and follow all set safety guidelines.
All other duties as assigned by Supervisor or designee.
