Job Description:

  • The Technician is responsible for the safe arrival and departure of aircraft as per the company EPM. They will perform routine engine/component servicing and maintenance. When required they will carry out approved repairs compliant to manufacturers procedures whilst observing all safety procedures for fluid replenishment, aircraft refuelling, aircraft systems charging/servicing as required.

  • To complete any component replacement and other maintenance activities as directed by immediate supervisor. This will include the ability to obtain and understand Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM), Illustrated Parts catalogue (IPC), Component Maintenance Manual (CMM) or other approved documentation required to carry out this task.

  • Participate and promote in creating a safety culture in an effort to minimize accidents and highlight deficiencies/failures that could lead to accidents. Ensure all work locations are kept clean and a high standard of housekeeping conditions are maintained. This includes being aware and communicating any safety concerns. They need to ensure work areas (including the ramp) are free of FOD and understand the dangers it represents to aircraft from vehicles, stands, ground equipment and aircraft support teams. Individual tool boxes are controlled and audited to maintain a safe working environment. 

  • They will be required to assist and perform Station Stores & Materials updating and audits as required to ensure the station is in compliance with all Emirates Engineering and local National Airworthiness Authority requirements.

  • Assist Licensed Aircraft Engineers in the Transit / Pre-departure checks as directed by the assigned engineer, in trouble shooting, defect rectifications and carrying out all cabin maintenance including cabin defects, IFE trouble shooting and rectification.

  • Ensure prompt attendance to all allocated tasks with the intent to maximize the ground time and avoid operational delays/disruptions. This will include obtaining aircraft/ component status brief from LAEs/ reports and preparing accordingly. They should be able to communicate any aircraft/ component/ structural defects found to the LAE in an expedient manner and ensure during shift handovers all information is passed on via the Station Handover Log.

Job Requirements:

  • Completed an apprenticeship or formal training from an approved organisation in Aircraft Maintenance.

  • Candidates may be asked to supply an Authorised Aircraft Engineers Log Book (CAP 741) or suitably Authorised Company equivalent documents of Aircraft Type and Work Experience

  • Line Maintenance Experience in a civil aircraft-engineering environment, including cabin experience, would be preferred however not essential. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an airline or an approved aircraft maintenance organization is required for this grade.

  • Experienced on Boeing B-777-200/300 and/or A380 aircraft preferred.

  • Experience and training in Human Factors, EWIS, Fuel Tank Safety, EASA Regulations, SMS,MEL,ETOPS is an essential requirement.

  • Full valid UK driving license

  • Computer skill are essential

  • Must be fluent in written and spoken English
