Job Title: Electro-Mechanical UAV Assembler

Job Description
As an Electro-Mechanical UAV Assembler, you will build and test unmanned aerial vehicles for defense customers by assembling electro-mechanical components, performing electrical wiring, and ensuring each unit meets strict quality standards. You will work closely with engineers and teammates in a dynamic, start-up style production environment where process improvement, collaboration, and attention to detail are highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Assemble electro-mechanical components, subassemblies, and UAV systems according to blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and written specifications.
- Perform electrical wiring, connections, and routing to ensure proper functionality and reliability of the assembled products.
- Conduct testing of assembled units using appropriate equipment to verify performance, functionality, and quality.
- Inspect incoming components, in-process work, and finished assemblies for defects, irregularities, or nonconformances, ensuring adherence to quality control standards.
- Assist with troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning or nonconforming units as needed to meet production and quality goals.
- Document assembly procedures, modifications, rework, and quality checks to maintain accurate traceability and production records.
- Follow all safety protocols, standard operating procedures, and company guidelines during assembly, testing, and handling of equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation and contribute to overall shop organization and 5S practices.
Essential Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience assembling electro-mechanical systems or similar production assemblies.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and strong mechanical and electrical assembly knowledge.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and basic testing equipment in a production environment.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, work from standardized procedures, and complete documentation accurately.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical certifications or relevant vocational training in electro-mechanical, electrical, or mechanical fields are preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working in a warehouse, production, or manufacturing environment with individual workstations.
- Familiarity with assembling products for defense or aerospace applications is beneficial.
- Comfort working in a start-up style environment with evolving processes and high growth expectations.
- Willingness to cross-train in related areas such as quality assurance and testing.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to assist in troubleshooting and process improvement.
