About The Role

 

AES (Aircraft Engineering Services Ltd) working in cooperation with our client Ryanair are inviting applications for a Station Manager to be based at Edinburgh Airport, working in cooperation with our client Ryanair, Europes largest airline. As the Station Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance across all maintenance operations. This is a challenging and dynamic leadership role that requires strong organisational skills, people management experience, and a solid background in aircraft maintenance and engineering.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

As part of the UK Management Team, the successful candidate will support in the leadership and management of Ryanairs UK Engineering Line Stations and a team of technical staff.

Duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Management of Routine Maintenance, Aircraft Incidents & AOG’s
  • Manpower planning, recruitment and staff performance management
  • Ensuring appropriate spares, tooling and facilities are available at each location
  • Conducting regular visits to Line Stations across the UK, ensuring staff welfare and regulatory compliance
  • Investigating Maintenance Delays, Engineering Safety Reports and Non-Compliances & implementing strategies to prevent recurrence.
Requirements

 

    • Proven experience in a management role (e.g., Engineering Manager, Maintenance Manager, Operations Manager or similar).
    • Strong team management skills, with experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to rapidly changing priorities.
    • Flexible, hands-on approach to leadership.
    • Full computer literacy with experience of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet Explorer).
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Knowledge of Aviation Processes is an advantage but not essential
