Role IntroductionReports to: Senior Solution Lead
This position sits within the Information Technology (IMT) Department Subsidiary Solution Centre, specifically Cathay Dining, one of our subsidiaries, which drives Cathay’s inflight catering and other associated operations. The Subsidiary Solution Centre is committed to delivering innovative, scalable, and secure technology solutions that enhance member engagement, streamline loyalty operations, and enable data-driven personalization throughout the customer lifecycle.
As the Solution Lead, you will be responsible for understanding business needs and driving technology direction and solution delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Support pre-project consulting and capture business direction, challenges and requirements
- Recommend commercially and technically viable ideas to improve business performance
- Collaborate with developers, analysts and architects to design and propose solution approaches
- Plan, design, develop, implement and support IT products and applications to meet customer needs
- Provide escalation support for solution analysts and drive continuous improvement of IT practices
- Stay updated on latest technology trends and ensure application maintenance with lifecycle improvements
- Initiate, define, plan and execute small to medium scale projects and facilitate progress through gates
- Test solutions for security, performance, integration and manage daily activities of teams and vendors
- Contribute to team resource planning, manage external third parties and support in-production systems
- Lead Agile solution implementation, manage solution analysts, act as surrogate Product Owner and coach team members
Requirements- Degree qualification in Information Technology related discipline, Masters preferred
- 8+ years of related IT experience covering but not limited to Software development/ System analysis/ Business analysis/ Solution definition/ System Testing
- Client facing experience with successful relationship management is a plus
- Proven verbal and written communication skill
- Professional, passionate, innovative, self-motivated and able to present solutions to diverse groups of stakeholders
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, leveraging both logic and creativity
- Proven troubleshooting skills; ability to identify patterns and generate ideas
- Airline or travel industry knowledge is highly beneficial
- Solid software development skill is highly beneficial
