Reports to: Portfolio Solution Manager

Join Cathay Pacific as a Solution Lead in our Inflight Services (ISD) Solution Centre. You will be the one to manage and maintain advanced IT systems that support cabin crew operations and inflight services with seamless integration of inflight service technologies and systems.

Leverage your expertise to drive technical delivery in the Inflight Service Solution Centre, ensuring we deliver on our brand promise and drive organizational success.

• Plan, design, develop, implement, and support IT products and applications to meet customer needs.  
• Work closely with developers, analysts, and architects to develop the best technical design.  
• Manage the day-to-day activities of the software development team, other IT teams and vendors
• Test all solution aspects including security, performance, and integration.  
• Provide directions to solution analysts on delivering business solutions.  
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams on business and technical aspects.
• Capture and communicate business direction, challenges, and requirements.  
• Recommend technically viable ideas to improve business performance.  
• Recommends and implements simple continuous improvement of standard and practice.
• Support pre-project consulting for a portfolio pipeline of initiatives.  

• Degree qualification in Information Technology related discipline
• 8+ years of related IT experience covering but not limited to:  
  • Software development 
  • System analysis 
  • Business analysis 
  • Solution definition 
  • System Testing 
• Hands-on experience in mobile applications and backend development and implementation is a must    
• Proficiency in MongoDB, Kafka will be advantageous  
• Tertiary education is essential  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills   
• Good communication skills, promoting healthy relationships and team dynamics with internal and external stakeholders   
• Experience in airline industry or logistic operations is a plus
• Knowledge in CI/CD, DevOps and Agile or Lean principles is preferred  
• Good understanding of the latest technological trends  
• Good command in verbal and written English. Speaking Mandarin is a plus.
