Senior Manager, Facilities (Full Time)

Position Summary:
Manages and directs Facilities and Security team to maintain and improve campus physical infrastructure, manufacturing operations, and security, enhancing the business results. Serves as primary AOA liaison for Vero Beach Airport Authority and required compliance initiatives. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. With main focus on capital improvements and working closely with other businesses and departments, implements and support Facilities department projects that may include, but are not limited to safety, productivity, quality, delivery, cycle, growth, inventory, and customer value proposition.
Essential Job Functions
• Directs team members (employees and consultants) at all levels of contract administration.
• Work with Facilities Director to formulate site construction projects.
• Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of company policy and contract specifications. Confer with Director and Supervisor to discuss such matters as work procedures, complaints and construction problems.
• Monitor and control project through administrative direction of on-site contractors and internal staff to ensure project is completed on schedule and within budget.

• Represent company in project meetings and attend strategy meetings.
• Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect company’s interests.
• May requisition supplies and materials to complete project.
• Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, employees and contractors.
• Formulate reports concerning such areas as work progress, costs and scheduling.
• Perform problem solving processes and design functions for all campus areas. Research equipment and materials purchasing and interface with vendors. Act as liaison between design and related departments.
• Controls any number of projects at various stages of work. Reviews records of accounts and inputs entries into to proper accounts.
• Consults with engineering and operations regarding functional and spatial requirements of new structure or renovation, and prepares information regarding design, specifications, materials, color, equipment, estimated costs and construction time.
• Plans layouts of projects and integrates engineering elements into unified design.
• Checks a set of drawings and prepares feedback for staff.
• Details any type of building. Prepares scale drawings and contract documents for building contractors.
• Manages process related to obtaining bids and awarding construction contracts.
• Administers contracts and conducts periodic onsite observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with plans.
• Prepares studies and reports.
• Prepares project designs and plans using computer assisted design software and equipment.
• Directs activities of workers engaged in preparing drawings and specification documents.
• Ensures that deliverables meet all of the requirements of the requesting party.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position is responsible for direct and indirect supervision and development of staff. Responsible for timely and close communication with staff and organizational leadership, including input on staff performance and corrective action observations. Sponsors and oversees strategic initiative and continuous improvement projects. Provides training and assists other employees, effectively partnering and collaborating on department and cross-functional organizational initiatives.
