Position Summary
Ready to take customs and freight operations to the next level? We’re looking for a Senior Manager Transport & Customs EMEA to lead strategy, optimize logistics, and ensure seamless compliance across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. You’ll drive efficiency, reduce costs, and build strong partnerships while developing a skilled and motivated team.
Your mission
- Shape Strategy: Develop and implement a customs and freight strategy aligned with our supply chain objectives.
- Ensure Customs Compliance: Oversee regulatory requirements, ensuring all customs and trade operations adhere to legal frameworks.
- Optimize Freight Operations: Manage transportation routes, reduce costs, and ensure timely deliveries.
- Lead Negotiations: Secure favorable contracts with freight carriers, customs brokers, and logistics providers.
- Build Strong Relationships: Work closely with internal stakeholders, customs authorities, and service providers.
- Lead & Develop a Team: Mentor and guide a high-performing team of customs and freight specialists.
- Drive Innovation: Implement technology solutions to improve tracking, visibility, and operational efficiency.
- Measure & Improve: Monitor KPIs, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions for continuous improvement.

Your profile
- Experienced in leading high-performing teams across multiple regions, driving collaboration, and aligning strategies with business objectives.
- Strong understanding of customs regulations, freight management, international shipping documentation, and procedures to ensure seamless global operations.
- Skilled in navigating complex international trade regulations, ensuring full compliance while optimizing processes for efficiency.
- Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and communication skills, enabling effective engagement with stakeholders at all levels.
- Expertise in lean management principles, with a focus on reducing waste, enhancing efficiency, and driving continuous improvement in customs and freight operations.
- Experienced with customs management systems (CMS), transportation management systems (TMS), and other digital solutions to streamline operations.
- Strong ability to develop and implement customs and freight strategies aligned with broader business goals.
- Thrives in fast-paced, high-pressure environments, demonstrating agility in adapting to changing priorities and spanet conditions.
- Willing and able to travel across the EMEA region to support business operations.
- Fluent English required, with strong German skills (fluency preferred), additional languages are a plus
