Brussels based you will influence policy in aviation, defense, sustainability, and innovation, advocating on behalf of Honeywell’s broad portfolio of advanced aerospace and defense technologies. This role represents a unique opportunity to design and execute an integrated Government Relations strategy that strengthens Honeywell’s position with policymakers and strategic stakeholders across the region. Honeywell Aerospace technologies are found on virtually every commercial, defense, and space aircraft worldwide. Our products include aircraft engines, cockpit and cabin electronics, wireless connectivity systems, mechanical components, and navigation technologies. Responsibilities
- Lead the European Government Relations team across Germany, the UK, Italy, and Central & Eastern Europe.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with government officials, industry associations, EU institutions, and other stakeholders.
- Advocate for Honeywell Aerospace positions on legislative and regulatory issues.
- Monitor and analyze relevant legislative and regulatory developments.
- Develop strategies to address risks and leverage opportunities in the European policy landscape.
- Represent Honeywell Aerospace in industry forums, coalitions, and events.
- Provide strategic policy guidance aligned with business objectives.
Qualifications
- 15 years of experience in government relations or policy advocacy, ideally within the aerospace, defense, or advanced technology sectors.
- Senior-level expertise in spanet dynamics, policy development, and the aerospace regulatory environment.
- Extensive experience influencing high-level policy, driving advocacy strategies, and shaping regulatory outcomes across Europe.
- Proven ability to independently manage complex priorities across multiple countries and stakeholder groups.
- Excellent business acumen with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Deep understanding of EU institutions, directives, and legislative processes, as well as member-state political and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of governmental decision-making processes and how to navigate them effectively.
- Robust experience engaging with European regulators, providing proactive insight into emerging legislative developments relevant to the aerospace sector.
- Strong leadership and team-management abilities, including guiding multi-country teams across Europe.
- Ability to develop and execute a comprehensive government relations strategy, ensuring alignment with Honeywell Aerospace’s business objectives.
- Experience leading diverse teams in Italy, Germany, the UK, and Central & Eastern Europe, driving cohesive policy advocacy efforts.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, including national governments, EU institutions, industry partners, and strategic bodies.
- Strong networking capability, with the ability to engage effectively with officials at both EU and national levels.
- Fluency in English required & Fluency in French highly desired.
