About the role:
Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Group Risk, Safety and Security team as a Security Planning Supervisor to be based in Doha, Qatar.
As a Security Planning Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervision and assisting the daily security and operational requirements, specifically focusing on the electronic security systems and solutions such as CCTV, access control system and other electronic security systems within the scope of the corporate security. The roles ensure that tasks are carried out according to set standards and supports the Lead Security Planning Officer and Manager Security Planning in the planning and design projects and related activities.
Specific responsibilities for the role include:
- Respond effectively to the various stakeholders across the Qatar Airways (QR) in the matters related to electronic security systems and solutions and if required, escalate any pending issues to the line manager.
- Provide all operational support needed to prepare conceptual design document and all relevant documents and forms for CCTV, Access Control System (ACS) & other electronic security systems in line with the QR operational requirements and local authorities.
- Provide service support to all activities related to the conceptual design documentation in order to CCTV and other related electronic system deployment to ensure it is as per guidelines.
- Conduct a site surveys and proper documentation of it to support security planning & design of electronic security systems and solutions.
- Ensure Field of View (FoV) approval for current and upcoming CCTV projects are in completed and in line with the conceptual design and current operations.
- Support line manager with reviewing activities related to electronic security systems and solutions.
- Assist line manager to ensure achievement of all KPIs related to CCTV, Access Control System (ACS) & other electronic security systems across the QR facilities.
- Ensure comprehensive record keeping of all security assessments, reviews, recommendations and projects by saving files for easy retrieval, so that records are available for review, analysis and audit.
- Regularly work with and assist the line manager to evaluate the SOPs, plans, procedures and practices and suggest appropriate changes if required.
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.
- Available 24/7 for business regarding relevant queries to provide support in security related matters.
- Work with the operational teams to achieve day-to-day operational objectives and priorities as assigned by the line manager and ensures team members know and understand what is expected of them.
- Adapt fast and work pragmatically with the line manager to ensure security at all relevant premises.

Qualifications
About you
The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
- Relevant College or University qualification with a minimum of 2 years job-related experience.
- Qualifications in general business, security or similar / relevant areas is highly desirable.
- Experience in corporate security operations and electronic security design.
- Good working knowledge of general security operations requirements.
- Proven ability to maintain relationships with range stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills, detail oriented and strong follow up skills.
- Advanced level of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) skills.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English.
