Job Summary
The Regional Safety Manager will support the Regional Safety Directors and the Air Methods Safety Management System (SMS). Working with the Regional Safety Team, the manager will be involved in the analysis of data involving highly complex business and operational modeling. This person will collaborate with Safety staff, to explore root cause, develop models, publish reports, and understand issues. Continually monitor the SMS Operating System (SMSOS) for reports and work with the Regional Safety Team to assist in developing Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) Items from safety reports and Safety Risk Assessments (SRA) and track to closure. Work with CAPA owners to ensure items are closed on time and follow up with Regional Leaders when CAPA are approaching due dates. Data and safety reporting required as associated with complex, strategic work streams. Collaborates with other data analysts in the company to include Power BI team, Operations Analytics, and C.I. team. The manager will analyze and monitor risk data collected across the SMS to identify trends, opportunities for continuous improvement, risk controls, and establish key safety metrics. This position includes analytical, and/or administrative responsibilities specific to the department and the quality management system (Workato SMSOS).
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following: | |
- Support the Safety Department Regional Safety Directors through analysis and processing of risk data collected across the Safety Management System (SMS):

- Compile data from various SMS reporting systems to support routine and ad-hoc analytics/research
| |
- Coordination and facilitation of Corporate Safety and SMS record keeping
| |
- Record keeping, to include monthly reporting
| |
- Assist in administration of Safety quality management system (SMS OS)
| |
- Manage distribution lists, user access, and assign annual SMS & Risk Management training
| |
- Support product owner with system development/enhancement project management
| |
- Provide internal customer product support
| |
| |
- Safety Department program support
| |
- AIDMOR Safety reports redaction for trend reporting/distribution
| |
- AIDMOR data projects, etc.
| |

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) or equivalent from four-year college or technical school and three to five years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Three to five years’ related experience with a Part 135 or Part 121 operator; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Familiarization with OSHA (OSHA 300 logs) and EPA
- Previous air ambulance operator experience preferred.
- Database development, Data tracking/trending and/or experience with software development.

- Knowledge of FARs and CFRs is preferred.
Computer Skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience with Reliance ETQ software a plus.
- Advanced programming skills related to back-end support of software systems a plus.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Recommend OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
