Why join the Mississauga’s operations team?
As a quality manager, you will be reporting to Engine Centers Quality Discipline Chief. You will be overseeing a team of quality professionals and inspectors, guiding, and helping them in setting personal goals and objectives to meet quality & business targets. The candidate will also be working closely with site leadership to ensure on-time delivery of quality product.
As a quality manager, you will also be responsible in ensuring the sites compliance to internal and external (AS9100, TCCA, FAA) customers, procedures, policies and regulations.
This is a full-time position from Monday to Friday with flexible hours, based in Mississauga, and performed exclusively on-site. Additional support might be required according to operational needs.
What will your day-to-day look like?
Every day will be different, the role of quality manager brings new challenges that will allow you to oversee quality activities in support to engine deliveries while ensuring alignment with production priorities, engine certification and quality issues containment.
Share you passion daily and reinforce Quality culture with projects and initiatives that foster an environment where quality is valued by all employees.
Manage the quality / client interface and proactively ensuring that requirements are understood and met, including support for root cause management and corrective actions.
Provide quality support to manufacturing operations related to the analysis, processing of nonconformity and supporting product and process improvements.
Lead the development, implementation and improvement of quality management systems throughout the manufacturing process, providing leadership and support in the development and launch of new products, processes and services.
Compliance is key and you will lead the internal audit process for products and processes while ensuring industry standards, government and customer requirements are met. Support and coordinate regulatory (TCCA, FAA) and certification bodies (AS9100) audits.
Analyze Key Quality Indicators (KPIs), such as Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) and product escapes and evaluate results in order to recommend action plans to fill operational gaps.
Maintain training programs on quality-related issues, including the requirement for quality stamps for the facility.
What do you need to be successful?
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality or business with a minimum of 10 years experience or
Master’s degree with a minimum of 7 years of experience.
Demonstrated leadership skills. Works in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment.
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
Quality Management system management experience.
Knowledge of AS9100 or ISO9001 requirements.
Experience in aeronautics or in manufacturing / assembly.
