Position Summary

Direct, administer and execute research and development activities for new product designs to meet the needs of the spanet and within the capabilities of our manufacturing environment. Perform, direct and administer special projects. Must use and be an advocate of the principles of the Win Strategy.

Your day-to-day / What we are expecting from you / Your responsibilities 

• Responsible for special project development. Accountable from start to completion of project goals, objectives and budgets to develop new and improved products.
• Responsible for achieving target costs for all components.
• To be a technical consultant for component and system problems for internal and external customers. 
• Must be able to effectively communicate with customers,sales/spaneting and other division, group and corporate personnel to resolve technical matters dealing with projects.
• Coordinate and communicate with material suppliers on new materials or processes applicable to new products.
• Identify new product and spanet opportunities through various avenues such as outside consultants, trade shows and customer visits and industry surveys.
• Align internal divisions and outside suppliers to ensure that support for master timing, test and validation plans, prototype needs and budgetary constraints are agreed and met.
• Serve as primary point of contact for customer interface and status on new products being developed for alternative spanets.
• Leads the project team to achieve its chartered purpose and desired outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree (BS) in mechanical, electrical or related technical discipline.
• Highly organized with the ability to see projects through to completion while responsibly holding others accountable for their contribution.
• Previous experience with new product launches and new product commercialization.
• Possesses a hydraulic and electronic/electrical background.
• Knowledgeable in the manufacturing process with a background in design.
