You will be responsible for all programmatic aspects of multiple assigned projects with specifically focused responsibility for customer relationship, cost, schedule and technical planning, tracking and reporting, technical execution, and ensuring overall program performance objectives are achieved. As a Program Manager I, you will manage several software development and sustainment contracts with a total value of less than $20M while requiring medium to high customer interaction. You will supervise the work of program and project staff and be the primary POC for customers. You will participate in business resource planning/tracking in coordination with other corporate entities and responsible to formulate a team that can fulfill program requirements. You will be responsible for ensuring program issues and problems are identified, tracked, and resolved; and for program risk and opportunity management and ensuring risks and opportunities are identified, mitigated, tracked, and managed. Youll be responsible for interfacing on project/program status, developing proposals, researching/fact-finding, coordinating audits, and negotiating with project/program stakeholders to ensure enterprise initiatives meet cost, budget, and schedule constraints. Responsibilities:
- Conduct the weekly and monthly cycles for programs including schedules, hours, risks, deliverables, etc.
- Support all proposals, Rough Orders of Magnitude and Budgetary Estimates for new and future work
- Conduct procurement management to meet customer and schedule needs
- Identify and track all risks and risk mitigations for each program
- Develop and manage the program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for software development, release and sustainment activities
- Coordinates and leads all program meetings while working with a technical lead
- Works closely with customers and end users to develop plans and road maps for new capabilities, fixes and upgrades to the software applications(s)
Must-haves:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Project Management, Management, Engineering or related field
- Typically 5+ years of progressive experience in project or program management
- Minimum 1+ year experience leading teams made up of 3+ cross functional team members
- Experience with the evaluation of requests for proposals and/or quotes. Experience with preparing, reviewing, and submitting proposals and/or quotes.
- Experience with contract negotiations, and the difference in contract types.
- Experience with managing multiple projects and/or a small program.
- Experience with being the primary focal for a customer.
- Demonstrated financial acumen to ensure decisions are fiscally sound and responsible.
- Ability to execute coordination of all elements of a program, i.e., Program integration management. Perform task coordination, resource development, stakeholder identification, etc. Capability to manage program lifecycle conflicts, prioritize competing priorities/requests, and evaluate available resources.
- Leadership abilities inclusive of successful change management, mentoring, career development, training, succession planning, holding people accountable, and conducting yearly reviews.
- Requires ability to manage complex situations, delegate authority, lead and inspire your team, drive innovative thinking, instill collaboration, drive for success, challenge status quo, and demonstrate the ability to adapt to dynamic situations.
- Requires skills in team building, time management, conflict resolution, communication, briefing, presentation, strategic thinking, spaneting, and literacy in the program management disciplines.
- An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
Preferred:
- Experience in a software development environment, either as a systems or software engineer, or in a project management/leadership role
- Exposure to the Agile development cycle
- Exposure to people resource management tools
- Project Management experience
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders
Estimated Starting Salary Range: $108,496.89 - $149,183.22. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
