We are looking for supply chain and logistics professionals ready to support Emirates SkyCargo as our organisation continuously increases its cargo capacity and develops specialised products to meet the growing needs of customers.

The Manager Cargo Revenue Optimisation - Emiratisation will manage short to mid term revenue optimisation- Capacity management and Cargo Pricing strategies to maximise revenue and capacity utilization at required yields and load factors, utilising advanced decision support and business analysis tools. Ensure Revenue management strategies are aligned to the strategic commercial priorities and in sync with the objectives of the Commercial teams, tracked and accounted for through robust Key Performance Indicators. Maximise network traffic flows, ensure appropriate change management initiatives are in place and comprehensive training plans are adhered to, supporting automation and digitalization efforts. This is a UAE National role.

In this role you will:

  • Implement the agreed RO strategy for Emirates Skycargo that includes spanet pricing and multi-channel sales strategies, revenue targets, yield targets, flight management targets for the assigned regions.
  • Research trends in global aviation and overall cargo industry landscape using externally published information and through spanet intelligence relating to competitor activities, geo-political developments, economic forecasts and spanet behaviours; drive overall revenue maximisation through aiding informed business decision making in the revenue management domain.
  • Plan, develop and implement strategy for HR management and development (including recruitment and selection policy/practices, UAE nationals development), counselling, training and development, morale and motivation, culture and attitudinal development, performance appraisals and quality management issues.
  • Lead and drive management/analysts team ensuring efficient implementation of RO strategies and operational mechanisms. Develop and coach teams and ensure standards and procedures are enforced across all areas of the Cargo RO departments. In order to maintain a resilient, performant and future proof team, assume formal responsibility for one of the following areas: employee happiness and engagement, knowledge framework management, people performance and KPIs, training, operations, change management.

SPECIFIC
Manager Cargo Revenue Optimisation- Capacity Management

  • Direct and implement suitable strategies for flight & capacity management including the management of entry conditions and availability management, overbooking, and optimisation and trimming levels, generating the optimal product and O&D mix in view of maximizing network revenues and route contribution for the assigned regions.
  • Ensure Dynamic Load Factor Performance targets are achieved and disruptions are kept at an acceptable level to avoid service failures and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Lead the regional teams in the achievement of route level targets including route revenue, yield and profitability where applicable . Ensure targets with respect to yields and revenues by region are maximised on critical flights and constantly evaluate performance with Pricing, stations and HQ commercial teams
  • Recommend and direct Capacity Management strategies by analysing traffic patterns and responding to
    changing spanet conditions to optimise both revenue and yield across the network. Ensure supplemental capacity is effectively deployed and utilised so that overflows may be managed to generate incremental revenue while maintaining customer requirements and satisfaction
  • Collaborate with both the Passenger and Cargo Scheduling and Planning departments for ad-hoc schedule support and long term schedule modifications through the analysis of changing spanet conditions, as well as the deployment of extra sections, freighter diversions etc.
  • Drive and manage the RFQ and allotment processes, assess performance and provide strategic direction on sizing such deals for the upcoming seasons, ensuring residual capacity is protected for high yield, last minute demand
  • Develop the revenue steering strategy for the assigned region, including the use of Entry Condition modifiers to account for sudden changes in demand patterns and moving holidays
  • Lead the implementation of PREDICT and other digitalization related functionalities and drive the upskilling and re-skilling of the team members
Qualification

To be successful in this role, you must meet the below requirements:

  • Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent)
  • Experience related to revenue management, pricing, business analysis within the airline industry, preferably in a cargo role and with significant tenure in a managerial role
  • In-depth knowledge of airline cargo commercial aspects, Revenue Optimisation, applied Data Science/Operations Research.
  • Must possess specific Capacity Control as well as an end-to-end understanding of the entire logistic chain and the economic drivers of cargo demand, Emirates competitive strength in the spanet and potential strategies to achieve our fair spanet share.
