Position Summary

Leads the maintenance department to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective asset performance. Owns maintenance strategy, budget, staffing, and continuous improvement initiatives, driving preventive/predictive programs, reliability engineering practices, and cross-functional alignment with operations.

Responsibilities

  • Own EHS compliance for all maintenance activities; enforce LOTO, permits, and safe work practices.
  • Set maintenance strategy and reliability standards; optimize maintenance intervals and methods.
  • Lead root cause analysis and defect elimination to reduce downtime and improve MTBF/MTTR
  • Establish and govern the work management process
  • Oversee weekly scheduling, backlog control, and schedule compliance, balance urgent work with planned maintenance.
  • Ensure CMMS governance and data integrity (asset hierarchy, PMs, work orders, parts lists, failure codes).
  • Plan and execute shutdowns/turnarounds, including scope, critical path, resourcing, and post-event reviews.
  • Manage maintenance budget (OPEX/CAPEX), cost control, and repair/replace decisions; approve POs and vendor spend.
  • Define spare parts/MRO strategy (critical spares, min/max, obsolescence control) and coordinate with stores.
  • Coordinate contractors/vendors: qualification, safety onboarding, scope control, and service-level compliance.
  • Drive predictive/condition-based programs (vibration, thermography, ultrasound, oil analysis) and integrate findings into the CMMS.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation (SOPs, LOTO procedures, drawings, BOMs) and revision control.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Quality to align priorities, support NPI/commissioning, and resolve chronic issues.
  • Lead continuous improvement (Lean/5S/Kaizen) to maintain high levels of 5s, reduce waste and improve work execution.
  • Manage risk and business continuity (single points of failure, contingency plans, critical spares coverage).
  • Monitor and report maintenance KPIs (OEE impact, downtime by asset, PM compliance, scheduling, backlog age, cost per asset).

 

Qualifications

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical or Electrical (IME)Experience: 5 years of experience as Maintenance Manager, experience in project management & personnel managementEnglish level: Advanced English
