We are seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead on-site, shop-floor day-to-day manufacturing execution for a fluid connectors maquila facility in Toluca. This role focuses on shift execution, direct people leadership, safety/quality adherence, and disciplined daily management to meet the production plan. The Production Supervisor will report to the Production Manager / Operations Manager and coordinate closely with a U.S.-based plant/corporate team through structured reporting, escalation, and recurring communication cadence.

Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities:

• Supervise daily production activities to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets. 
• Execute the production plan (schedule adherence), balancing labor, equipment, and WIP. 
• Lead, coach, and develop operators/line leaders; manage attendance, overtime, and training. 
• Ensure strict compliance with SOPs, work instructions, and standard work. 
• Monitor KPIs (OEE, scrap, rework, downtime, labor efficiency) and drive daily actions. 
• Coordinate with Planning, Warehouse, Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality to remove constraints. 
• Lead problem solving (containment, RCA, corrective/preventive actions) for quality and downtime issues. 
• Enforce EHS requirements: PPE, safe behaviors, incident reporting/investigations, risk controls. 
• Drive Lean/CI on the floor (5S, visual management, Kaizen, SMED) to improve productivity. 
• Prepare and communicate shift handovers and performance reports; escalate issues to U.S. stakeholders as required.

Qualifications

Qualifications

We are looking for a talent with :

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in manufacturing. 
• 3+ years as a production/shift supervisor in a high-volume environment (maquila preferred). 

• Proven people leadership experience (operators/technicians, multiple shifts). 

   

   Knowledge of Lean basics and daily management systems. 

•  Strong safety mindset and experience driving EHS compliance on the shop floor. 
•  Solid understanding of quality requirements and corrective action processes (ISO/IATF exposure preferred). 
•  Ability to read drawings/specs and follow control plans/work instructions. 
•  Data-driven approach; strong Excel skills and experience with ERP/MRP reporting. 
•  Effective communication and conflict-resolution skills; able to work with U.S.-based teams. 

• Intermediate English (written and spoken) preferred; flexibility for shifts and overtime.
