Job Description:

Tasks

Your main tasks include, among others:

  • Act as the primary liaison between the engine business unit and the IT department at the Hamburg headquarters
  • Ensure that the IT environment is scalable, secure, and supports operational efficiency for the engine business unit
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure the infrastructure is integrated seamlessly with headquarters and other global operations
  • Lead the implementation of the ERP and MES systems at the new subsidiary, ensuring successful integration with existing systems at the headquarters
  • Negotiate contracts with local IT suppliers to ensure the best value and service level agreements (SLAs) that meet operational needs
  • Act as the first point of contact for local IT issues

Requirements

The ideal IT Manager must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required
  • 3+ years of proven experience in IT business partnership, preferably within the MRO or aerospace industry and with a focus on Engine services
  • Experience in ERP and MES system implementation
  • Experience working closely with IT System Architects and HQ teams to align business and IT strategies
  • 3+ years of experience in international business environment
  • Fluency in English language required
  • French and German language is a plus
  • PMP or similar certification is desirable
  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, including networks, data centers, and cloud-based systems
  • Willingness to work in Canada and abroad
  • Must possess permit to work in Canada
