STS Technical Services is hiring an Aircraft Maintenance Control Manager for a direct-hire opportunity in Denver, Colorado. This role supports a U.S.-based commercial airline and is responsible for leading daily Maintenance Control operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and coordinating real-time decision-making across maintenance, engineering, and flight operations.
This position is built for a leader who understands airline maintenance from the inside out and is comfortable owning decisions that impact fleet reliability, schedule integrity, and safety.
Position Overview
The Aircraft Maintenance Control Manager oversees Maintenance Control personnel during assigned shifts and serves as the primary point of contact for operational maintenance decisions. This role ensures all maintenance activity is executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with FAA regulations and internal procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support Maintenance Control operations during assigned shifts
- Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, company manuals, and internal procedures
- Serve as the single point of contact for daily aircraft maintenance operational decisions
- Approve overtime, assign work, and make policy-level decisions as required
- Manage MEL, CDL, and NEF processes to ensure accurate tracking and timely resolution
- Coordinate with Line Maintenance, Engineering, Operations, and Procurement teams
- Manage Maintenance Control staffing, work schedules, vacation approvals, absences, and payroll processing
- Oversee documentation, reporting, and retention of One-Time On-Call maintenance records
- Verify FMIS data entries and perform required corrections
- Conduct departmental self-audits and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Support reliability meetings and provide reporting to senior leadership
- Track team performance metrics and ensure completion of all required training
Required Qualifications
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License
- Recent hands-on experience in both Line Maintenance and Maintenance Control operations
- Airbus aircraft experience is required
- Minimum 5 years of combined Line and/or Heavy Maintenance experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Maintenance Control role
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory or management experience in a maintenance operations environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Four-year college degree
- FCC Radio License
- Experience with Airbus A320 family aircraft
- Familiarity with FMIS or airline maintenance tracking systems

Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $110,114 to $146,157 annually
- Eligible for 10 percent annual performance bonus (0 to 20 percent based on individual and company performance)
