As an Aircraft Structural Sheet Metal Technician, you will work on troubleshooting, repairing, inspecting, and performing maintenance on customer aircraft in compliance with company General Work Requirements and environmental health/safety procedures. This role involves performing structural repairs, modifications, and working with composite components, among other responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Adhere to company General Work Requirements (Factory, Shop, and/or Hanger positions)
Comply with environmental health/safety policies and procedures
Participate in 5-S activities and ensure work is performed in a safe and timely manner
Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and maintain customer aircraft
Remove/install aircraft components as needed
Fabricate/modify structural parts on aircraft
Perform minor structural repairs on composite components
Assist with conducting hidden damage inspections of aircraft structures
Support complex structural repairs both on and off aircraft
Document all work performed in compliance with manuals and regulations
Operate ground support equipment as required
Assist with aircraft component repair
Perform mechanical/electrical removals and installations
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements 8+ years of structural sheet metal repair/modification experience or equivalent experience
Completion of sheet metal A/C Tech school or equivalent education
Ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
Basic set of hand tools with ability to demonstrate inventory and control of tools
Ability to obtain Ground Support Equipment Qualifications as required
Availability to work unscheduled overtime, including non-scheduled work days and holidays
Ability to work in seasonal/inclement weather outside
Capability to obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge (if applicable)
Basic PC skills
