Field Engineering Representative
Yuma, AZ
Contract Position
Join a team dedicated to designing and producing armored combat and support vehicles. As a prime mover in ground force capabilities, this firm provides innovative solutions that ensure the safety and effectiveness of military personnel worldwide, focusing on durability, mobility, and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with customers and engineers to define, document, and interpret testing for Abrams, Stryker, and MPF Program vehicles, systems, and subsystems.
- Perform troubleshooting of software and hardware issues, utilizing technical documentation to keep vehicles operational for testing.
- Support Contractor, USG Developmental Test (DT), and Operational Testing (OT) at multiple USG test sites.
- Conduct real-time issue resolution by coordinating with engineering teams for troubleshooting, vehicle configuration, and hardware integration.
- Generate daily progress reports, including Engineering Logs and Universal Incident Reports (UIRs).
- Lead and guide mechanics, drivers, test directors, and soldiers during maintenance activities and test operations.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience operating or maintaining military wheeled or tracked vehicles, with a maintenance background preferred.
- 3-5 years of USG Developmental/Operational test experience or a combination of military and USG test experience.
- Active Secret Security Clearance (or NACI) required.
- Familiarity with operator and maintenance-level tasks for tracked and wheeled platforms.
- Ability to diagnose faults and perform root cause analysis for vehicle systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and software tools such as Team Center and Vis Mockup.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel 30-40.
- Familiarity with systems engineering, subsystems integration, and reliability practices.
- Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, software, and fire control systems
