Job Title: Quality Inspector / Quality Assurance Technician
Job Description
This on-site role focuses on inspecting mechanical parts and subassemblies, ensuring they meet defined quality standards and specifications for aerospace-related hardware and drone components. You will follow documented procedures, use precision measurement tools, document non-conformances, and collaborate closely with production and quality teams to maintain high product reliability in a fast-growing manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Follow written work instructions and official procedures carefully and consistently during all inspection activities.
- Adhere to documented work processes and quality standards as outlined in mechanical drawings and relevant specifications (including IPC specifications where applicable).
- Perform detailed inspection of mechanical parts, subassemblies, and coatings to verify they meet all dimensional, cosmetic, and functional requirements.
- Use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, rulers, and other quality measurement instruments to perform precise dimensional checks.
- Conduct in-process and incoming material inspections on mechanical components and, when required, printed board circuit assemblies (PBCAs).
- Verify that coatings are applied evenly and provide the required protection or functionality, identifying any defects or inconsistencies.
- Remain highly observant during inspections to identify defects, abnormalities, or inconsistencies that could affect product performance or reliability.
- Document and communicate any issues, discrepancies, or non-conformances promptly to the appropriate production and quality personnel.
- Identify and document defects thoroughly, ensuring traceability and clear communication with cross-functional teams.
- Use basic computer systems to record inspection results, update spreadsheets, and contribute to digital quality records.
Essential Skills
- Hands-on experience with quality inspection or quality assurance in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to carefully follow detailed written instructions and official work procedures.
- Experience with basic quality control and inspection practices, including identifying defects and non-conformances.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay observant throughout repetitive inspection tasks.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills to report issues and collaborate with production and quality teams.
- Interest in aerospace-related hardware, drones, or electronic products.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience using a wide range of quality measurement tools, including gauges, calipers, scales, and optical measurement machines (OMM).
- Experience with consumer electronics manufacturing processes or circuit board (PCB/PBCA) inspection.
- Knowledge of spreadsheets for data tracking and reporting.
- Ability to create and maintain visual presentations or dashboards, including use of tools such as Google Slides.
- Experience working with circuit boards, drones, or electronic assemblies.
Work Environment
This is a fully on-site role in a manufacturing facility, with no remote work option. The team builds advanced drone and aerospace-related hardware, combining mechanical and electronic components. You will work primarily in a production and inspection area using tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, rulers, scales, and other inspection equipment, as well as computers for data entry, spreadsheets, and dashboard updates. The schedule includes day shifts from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and later shifts from approximately 3:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., with initial training conducted on the day shift. Mandatory overtime on Saturdays may be required when production demands increase.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
