Your RoleIn this role, you are responsible for inspecting the final mechanical assembly installations of the aircraft, such as fuselage, landing gears, and tail assemblies. You will also be inspecting systems such as hydraulics, rotors, oil, heat, and engines. Recheck work after adjustments or repairs. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical processes or other control procedures. Provides other inspections and quality services to ensure company products and processes meet customer, company, and other specifications by performing the following duties. Education and Experience
* Must have a High School Diploma or a GED equivalent.
* Must have a minimum of 4 years of recent aviation production/maintenance titled inspector experienceOR 7 years of recent production/maintenance related experience; an equivalent of education and experience can be considered.
* A valid A&P License is required. Skills and Abilities
* Must have thorough proficiency with measuring instruments such as scales, calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, and various types of precision measuring equipment.
* Requires a thorough understanding of all pertinent manufacturing, production, and engineering test processes.
* Must be proficient with Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Will be required to participate in the FAA Drug Test Program is required.
* Must be able to understand and follow instructions, and the ability to concentrate is required
* Must have excellent written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Must possess the ability to get along with others or to be part of a team.
* Access to Export Control Information.
* Must have regular attendance at the worksite. Duties and Responsibilities
* Visually and physically inspects materials, components, subassemblies, assemblies, tools, and final product configuration using blueprints, sketches, engineering drawings, and orders, and other applicable sources to observe, measure, and record conformity to customer, regulatory, and company specifications.
* Verifies production and engineering test processes for compliance with process methods and procedures.
* Records compliance with quality standards to verify that company products and processes meet customer, company, and other specifications.
* Solves inspection problems; methods-procedures, plans, and details.
* Audit products and processes to verify system.
* Maintained necessary inspection logs and wrote inspection reports.
* Other duties may be assigned.
