JOB PURPOSE
The Quality Assurance Auditor is accountable to the Director of QA and EHS and Continuous Improvement for work assigned and managed by the Manager of Quality Assurance. The selected individual will ensure that tasks performed are compliant with Ascent Aviation Services FAA accepted Repair Station Manual Quality Control Manual (RSM/QCM), applicable FAA regulatory and customer requirements, and other applicable regulatory agency guidelines for which Ascent Aviation Services is rated e.g., EASA, TCCA, ISO, etc.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical Demands: Requires sitting or standing for extended periods of time, frequent walking, bending, stooping, squatting, climbing, and reaching above shoulder level. Will require occasional crawling, crouching, kneeling, and balancing, as well as frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling weight up to 10 pounds. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
Equipment Operated: Ladders, stands, Powered Lifts (Scissor/Boom), flashlights, magnifying glasses, and standard office equipment.
Work Location: The primary assigned location will be at the Marana, AZ facility with required rotational travel to the Tucson, AZ, and Roswell, NM facilities to complete assigned quality assurance tasks.
Potential Hazards: Exposure to high intensity noise levels, extreme changes in temperature, exposure to adverse weather, and materials known to be hazardous as identified on Safety Data Sheets (SDSs). Working at heights and around moving machinery and various aircraft.
Protective Equipment Required: Goggles, safety glasses, face shields, ear protection, aprons, gloves, safety harnesses as required.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Job Functions:

Effective communication with interdepartmental personnel and outside agencies including but not limited to the FAA, EASA, ISO, C.A.S.E., and customer audit personnel.

Plan, schedule, and conduct internal and follow-up audits and provide ongoing objective evaluations of processes and documentation in accordance with FAA, EASA, and C.A.S.E. 1A and AS9100 standards.

Experience with, and the ability to assist departments in performing an effective Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to determine the most appropriate Root Cause and to ensure the Comprehensive Corrective Action (CCA) or actions applied are acceptable and have proven effective in the mitigation of risk to a level that is ALARP.

Experience in the performance fuel storage and into plane audits to determine process adequacy and compliance to NFPA 10, NFPA 407, ATA 103, customer fueling requirements, and the Ascent Fuel Control Service Manual (FCSM) requirements. (Preferred)
