We currently have an opening for a full-time permanent Maintenance Planner position.
This position will be accountable for the airworthiness program of an aircraft fleet ensuring the accuracy of this program is maintained. The monitoring of Conair, OEM, AMS, and Regulatory policy changes to ensure that all maintenance performed is consistent with applicable regulations and standard industry practices. Maintenance Planner’s work with Maintenance Administration Personnel to provide all applicable information required by the maintenance department and customers to complete projects in a safe, airworthy, effective, and efficient manner.
In this role your duties will include the following:
- Accountable to develop, manage, and maintain the accuracy of the maintenance program for their fleet. Manage ongoing AMS revision requirements, both documents and ERP changes.
- Accountable for the evaluation and implementation of all instructions for continued Airworthiness into the Aircraft Maintenance Program (AD’s, SB’s, Repairs, Engineering Orders, ICA’s).
- Accountable for oversight, development, implementation, and maintenance of the fleet configuration control process including both major and minor modifications.
- Long term maintenance forecasting for their responsible fleet.
- Consult with engineering, fleet managers, and regulatory bodies in support of current STCs /LSTCs and development of future data packages.
- Accountable for the evaluation and review of technical data and aircraft documents.
- Accountable to provide reports to the Airworthiness Manager and Fleet Managers as required.
- Accountable to communicate with outside customers and regulatory bodies as required to display compliance with contractual agreements and regulations.
- Accountable to the Airworthiness Manager and Fleet Managers to provide annual fleet maintenance budget information.
- Monitor aircraft utilization by fleet type to ensure aircraft compliance to the maintenance program.
- Assign tasks and mentor the MAP’s as required.
- Work with the Airworthiness Manager increasing internal capabilities & efficiencies to support the fleet.
- Consult with Fleet Managers to ensure work scope expectations are being met.
- Consult with Fleet Managers to identify modifications to aircraft due to contract changes, safety concerns or Flight operational requirements.
- Collaborate with the Special Projects & Acquisition Controller and Fleet Manager, for importing, exporting, and leasing of aircraft.
- Perform all duties in accordance with Conair’s Policies and Procedures and applicable regulations.
- Complete assigned tasks and related paperwork in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner.
- Maintain currency as applicable to Conair Memos, Maintenance Bulletins, and notices.
- Maintain knowledge of CAR’s and other regulations as applicable to the operation.
- Perform other related duties as required.
We are looking for someone with:
- Knowledge of principles of planning, including a sound knowledge of estimating, production planning and project management.
- Knowledge of Aircraft maintenance programs, MSG 3 philosophy, technical records, and technical documentation.
- Ability to react quickly and efficiently to Conair’s needs and make decisions to remove roadblocks.
- Ability to analyze drawings and technical literature.
- Ability to prioritize activities, be self-motivated, work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
- Must be detail oriented and have a strong ability to maintain accurate records. Naturally organized and methodical with a focus on efficiency.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Must have an intense desire to meet and exceed Conair’s goals and objectives while being a strong, professional team player with the ability to focus on customer requirements in a dynamic environment.
- Proficient in Office 365 applications.
Training/Education:
- Minimum 2 years related experience with aircraft maintenance programs, planning and project management.
- A thorough knowledge of Ramco is required.
- Supervisory skills are an asset.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products and ERP programs.
- Post-Secondary accredited courses related to project management or planning an asset.
- AME license or equivalent an asset.
