JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking experienced F-16 APG Mechanics to support Final Assembly and Checkout (FACO) surge operations. This role involves performing a variety of mechanical tasks, including diagnosing malfunctions, performing system checkouts, major system installations, and wing installations on F-16 aircraft. This is a secured facility—cell phones are not allowed in the work hangar.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform disassembly, repair, rework, reassembly, and adjustment of various aircraft systems.
- Work in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions, and FAA regulations.
- Conduct system checkouts and ensure aircraft meet operational standards.
- Support final assembly and major system installs.
- Ensure proper rigging and alignment of aircraft components.
- Perform aircraft movements and assist with landing gear, powerplants, and flight control operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 6+ years of F-16 or other legacy fighter jet (F-18, F-22, F-35) crew chief/mechanic experience.
- Experience as a Crew Chief, Plane Captain, or A&P Mechanic with strong aircraft maintenance expertise.
- Ability to work 1st or 2nd shift as required to meet operational needs.
- Ability to for-go a pre-employment criminal background check, standard DOT drug test, and basic health physical.
- Valid US driver's license.
- Proof of US Citizenship.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US clearance.
SHIFT AVAILABILITY
- Candidate must be open to work 1st or 2nd shift after initial training.
- Monday – Thursday
PAY PACKAGE
- $34-40 hourly based off of years of experience
- $1 differential if moved to second shift
- Split per diem available for those that qualify
- OT time and a half
- Paid weekly after first week.
