The Director of Maintenance is a key leadership role responsible for managing all aspects of maintenance. This position requires a deep understanding of FAA regulations, aircraft maintenance and repair, and leadership excellence. The successful candidate will ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted in compliance with FAA Part 135 & 145 requirements, company policies, and industry best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily maintenance operations, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and high standards of safety and quality.
- Develop and implement maintenance policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and schedules to ensure timely and efficient maintenance operations.
- Experience with maintenance tracking and management software (Traxxall, CAMP, and OEM engine and airframe programs etc.) is required.
- Coordinate with the operations department to schedule aircraft maintenance, minimizing downtime and ensuring operational efficiency.
- Oversee the maintenance budget, including procurement of parts and services, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Ensure accurate maintenance records are kept in compliance with FAA and company requirements.
- Manage relationships with external maintenance vendors, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Stay updated on industry trends, FAA regulations, and technological advancements in aircraft maintenance.
- Lead investigations of any maintenance-related incidents and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Participate in the strategic planning of the maintenance department, including fleet expansion and maintenance facility upgrades.
