Summary:

As an Aircraft Composite Technician, you will be responsible for the fabrication, repair, and maintenance of composite materials used in aircraft structures. You will work with advanced composite materials such as carbon fiber, fiberglass, and Kevlar to ensure the structural integrity and performance of aircraft components.

Requirements:

• Document work performed per appropriate manuals including, but not limited to, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Structure Repair Manual (SRM), Engineering Drawings (EO’s)
• Inspect/repair parts as required.
• Assist in performing various structural repairs on composite components
• Perform composite-related repair tasks in accordance with approved/accepted data consisting of, but not limited to the restoration of aramid, fiberglass, and carbon and aluminum mesh fabrics.
• Complete assigned tasks within allocated man-hours on schedule
• Perform vacuum bagging.
• Prepare all requirements for repairs according to approved/accepted data.
• Operate a broad variety of hand/power tools in a safe and efficient manner.
• Comply with all environmental health and safety policies and procedures
• Composite repair / modification experience

Additional Desired/Preferred Qualifications

• Airframe License (preferred)
• Vocational training or equivalent.
• Customer service / aviation work experience.
• Basic PC skills.
• Basic knowledge of regulations dealing with transportation of hazardous materials.
• Ability to communicate in both written and verbal form on individual and / or aircraft status.
• You have demonstrated ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings.
