We offer aircraft component repair on an extensive list of aircraft platforms. This role involves working on a bench, repairing parts sent in for maintenance. You will not work on the actual aircraft but focus on fixing components at a dedicated station. Some of the instruments we work on include altimeters, pressure instruments, gyroscopes, indicators, fuel flow transmitters, and gauges.

Responsibilities

• Work on bench-level repair of aircraft components.
• Troubleshoot, inspect, and repair various instruments such as altimeters, gyroscopes, and fuel flow transmitters.
• Read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
• Use inspection tools and instruments such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, and voltmeters.
• Solder and assemble electronic components.
• Work independently and as part of a team to meet repair deadlines.

• 1+ years of experience working on electronics at a component level, including vacuum tubes or analog systems.
• Strong analog background, ideally down to the component level.
• Experience with bench-level work and associated tooling.
• Ability to troubleshoot, sand, solder, and repair electric motors, electric control panels, power distribution blocks, and relay boards.
• Proficiency in using inspection tools and instruments such as an oscilloscope, multi-meter, and voltmeter.
• Experience reading and interpreting schematics.

• Experience with instruments such as gyroscopes, altimeters, indicators, fuel flow transmitters, and gauges.
• Open to candidates with avionics or military maintenance backgrounds with a strong electrical foundation.

Work Environment

You will work in a family-like team environment with a team of 30, including 20-25 in the instrument shop. You will report directly to the Chief Inspector and then the manager. Our management style emphasizes coaching and supporting employees who have fundamental skills and the willingness to learn. We cannot train anyone green but are great at helping those with the basics to catch on quickly.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
