Required Education and Experience:
* Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
* Must have a minimum of 5 years of aviation technician experience - military or civilian required.
* Must have a minimum of 5 years of welding experience.
* Must have experience with aircraft maintenance, structural repair, and troubleshooting, ideally working on a variety of aircraft models required.
* Must have experience using coating systems, including HVOF and Plasma processes required.
* Must have experience using complicated weld fixtures required.
* Having Part 135 or Part 121 experience is a plus.
* Having Part 145 compliance understanding a plus.
* Having an FAA Mechanics Certificate with at least an Airframe rating a plus.
* Being Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. Essential Functions and Competencies:
* Have the ability to set up a welding machine for specific materials, thickness, and positions.
* Have the ability to use grit blast and sandblast machinery.
* Have the ability to read, understand, and interpret blueprints, manuals, planning documents, engineering drawings, and other technical directives.
* Must be proficient in the use of precision measuring tools (i.e., Calipers, Gauges, Thermometers, Micrometers, Readouts, and Scales)
* Have the ability to meet the requirements for FAA welding certification.
* Have the ability to evaluate and scope out jobs.
* Have the ability to attend required business meetings in person, or via video call, as coordinated.
* Have the ability to work with a team and thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, and dynamic environment with a demonstrated record of achievement.
* Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills.

* Must have a proficient understanding of ATA chapters associated with aviation Engine Service Manuals, APU manuals, and structural components.

* Have the ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed, with prior notice, until additional shifts are filled.
* Must be willing to cross-train in other complementary positions and seek endorsements for skills as needed to support production requirements.
* Must read, write, and understand English. Job Duties:
* Weld, grind, solder, heat-treat, and perform sandblasting of aircraft components and support equipment in accordance with the requirements specified in applicable technical manuals.
* Prepare product to be welded by grinding, drilling, milling, tapping, and cutting parts.
* Create quality welds based on drawings and repair specifications and inspected them for accuracy.
* Perform fastener installation to include riveting as needed.
* Perform damage removal and inspections as needed
* Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, recommending actions.
* Perform both Metallic and Composite Repairs and Alterations.
* Use handheld tools and operate machinery for cleaning, de-burring, painting, sanding, and grit blasting parts.
* Prepare and mask parts with fixtures, rubber tape, antibond, or metal masks prior to coating. Remove masking, clean overspray, and wash parts when work is complete.
* Set up and operate various types of manual and/or robotic spray systems to apply coatings to parts.
* Set bake/cure oven controls for correct temperature and record time on process charts.
* Inspect surfaces visually for defects and compliance with specifications using micrometers, calipers, elcometers, profilometers, or related devices prior to and after applying coating.
* Perform monthly equipment maintenance on large industrial machinery.
* Clean and maintain spray/coating equipment, fixtures, and blast cabinets.
* Review drawings, instructions, blueprints, or samples to ensure accurate production.
* Work with malodorous liquids and oils.
* Collaborate with a diverse team of mechanics, technicians, and engineers to identify and address complex aircraft issues.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and safety procedures, taking part in professional development activities and training programs to continuously improve processes.
* Foster a culture of safety by adhering to established safety protocols and promoting awareness among team members.
* Shipping and receiving duties as needed.
* Provide inventory management support as needed.
* Evaluate and scope jobs as needed.
* Assist with cross-training other technicians as needed to support production requirements. Physical Requirements:
* Must have the ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs for approximately 25 of the average workday.
* Must have the ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods.
* Must have the ability to work in an aircraft hangar, which at times may be hot, cold, dusty, and/or loud.
