We are currently seeking a full-time Fabrication Operator/Shipper-Receiver in our Pointe-Claire, Montreal facility. This is a bargaining position and the wage is based on the level of experience and the collective agreement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Measuring, Cutting, Assembly
- Handling repetitive, manual, lifting tasks
- Consolidating and coordinating loads
- Receiving and delivering goods
- Loading trucks once orders are complete and unloading trucks
- Operating cranes, forklifts, pallet jacks and carts/dollies
- Visually checking/inspecting, locating, and labelling all orders
- Data entry of all orders into the computer
Skills and Qualifications:
- Physically capable of handling repetitive, manual, lifting tasks
- Dependable, quick-learner, flexible, and possess the ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Ability to understand and follow-through with directions
- Reading Measuring tape Imperial system
- Good written communication, oral communication and computer skills;
- Prior manufacturing and shipping/receiving experience
- Must be proficient with use of power and hand tools
- Great interpersonal skills
- Good team-working skills
Work Environment/Conditions: Fast-paced, busy manufacturing/production facility with the ability to have a flexible schedule as per production needs.
