At PDS Tech Commercial, we’re seeking a Aircraft Maintenance and Repair Technician to help ensure the safety, functionality, and performance of vital aircraft components. Your expertise will directly contribute to the smooth operation of aircrafts and the overall success of aviation missions.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Receiving Inspection: Conduct inspections on incoming assemblies and components, ensuring they meet established procedures, technical data, and specifications.
Component Maintenance & Assembly: Disassemble, clean, test, and reassemble aircraft components, following customer specifications, airworthiness directives, and applicable technical guidelines.
Heavy Lifting & Maneuvering: Manually handle large components like aircraft wheels and brakes, ensuring they are properly segregated, identified, and organized throughout the process.
Painting & Coating: Perform painting duties, including the mixing and application of primers and paints to maintain high standards of component appearance and durability.
Shop Maintenance & Cleanliness: Maintain an organized, clean workspace following the principles of the Five Ss (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).
Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to streamline processes and eliminate waste to ensure maximum efficiency.
Safety & Compliance: Follow all FAA, customer, and JAA regulations, maintaining proper knowledge of technical data and adhering to safety guidelines in a repair and overhaul shop environment.
What We’re Looking For:
Required Qualifications:
Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED) is required. Vocational/technical education in a related field is preferred.
Technical Expertise: Previous experience in mechanical repairs, assembly, or other technical roles in industries like automotive, manufacturing, or construction.
FAA & Safety Compliance: Ability to read, understand, and apply technical manuals and FAA regulations. Knowledge of safety-sensitive work environments and FAA drug screen program.
Physical Ability: Ability to lift and maneuver items up to 35lbs. Must be comfortable with continuous standing and walking.
Language Skills: Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
Preferred Qualifications:
Aviation Experience: Previous experience working in an aircraft maintenance, repair, or overhaul environment is highly preferred.
Technical Documentation Expertise: Familiarity with component maintenance manuals and technical documents is a plus.
Process Improvement Mindset: Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities to streamline processes and reduce waste.

Pay Details: $23.04 per hour
