Job overview and responsibilities
Performs all aspects of aircraft maintenance work including servicing, repair, and proper work documentation in accordance with company procedures and specifications.
May be required to exercise Aircraft Release Authority.
Demonstrates initiative and leadership to other A&P Mechanics.
This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.
Unless subject to a collective bargaining agreement in the country to which an employee is being transferred; the employee retains their original date of employment and company seniority in the new country. Upon transfer, the employee is removed from payroll and benefits in former country and appropriately placed in the salary range and payroll / benefits systems of the new country.
Human Resources will assist with the terms and conditions of employment in light of labor agreements, collective agreements, country work rules and labor laws. In the new country, the employee is reinstated using the same employee id, date of employment and company seniority dates.
QualificationsRequired
- Must be able to speak, read, and write in English and Spanish
- Completion of local Mechanic Qualification Requirements
- Must hold valid in-country AFAC license
- Must hold a valid Passport and U.S. Visa
- Must have three (3) years of experience on B737 and Airbus A-320 or similar type of aircraft
- Must be legally authorized to work in Mexico without sponsorship
- Regular attendance and punctuality in accordance with Uniteds policies is required
- Must be flexible to work ANY shift that is assigned to you within a 24 hour, 7 day a week operation which can include late nights, early hours, weekends and holiday
- Attendance is required at work location
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications
Preferred:
- Hold a valid FAA A&P license
