Position Summary
Role Summary :
Working as part of a team and to be responsible for carrying out all stores activities in accordance with company/departmental procedure also to include the following; Maintain Master Production Schedule (MPS) and action Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) recommendations to achieve delivery dates. Your primary duties include overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring that it is well-organized and stocked. You will play a crucial role in conducting monthly inspections, ensuring fault reporting processes are understood, and maintaining a record of all inspections carried out. Assisting in stock checks and maintaining an audit trail will also be part of your essential duties.

The Ideal candidate must be motivated to learn, have practical experience in stock control. You will be expected to possess strong customer service skills, ensuring a smooth and seamless experience for all stakeholders. Effective communication skills will be essential for liaising with colleagues and units during collection and delivery of stock. Being a proactive team member, you should be able to manage your own workload efficiently while providing support to other Storekeepers when required. Your flexibility and diligent approach to meeting deadlines will contribute significantly to the overall efficiency of the stores operations.
Responsibilities
Key duties for Storekeeper will include:
- Expected to carry out receipt and recording of all incoming goods and issue all parts from the component store.
- Conduct all tasks related to the raw materials store, tooling store, hazardous goods store, embodiment loan and repair components store.
- Carry out all tasks related to the packing and despatching of all goods from the site.
- Responsible for maintaining and tracking inventory levels as instructed.
- Ensuring that the store is clean and well-maintained is another important aspect of the job.
- Required to carry out driving duties and other stores- related tasks as delegated by the Stores Supervisor.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- GCSE English Language and Mathematics Grade C or equivalent
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities List
- Proven experience of working within a similar Stores environment
- Experience of working within a “lean” manufacturing process would be advantageous.
- Computer Literate – Word and Excel
- Stock control methods, MRP/ERP Systems
- Well organised, detail oriented and ability to multitask
- Good written and verbal communication
- Strong team player!
