About the Role:
As a Data Shipping Specialist, youll be the backbone of our shipping and receiving operations, ensuring that products are packaged, tracked, and delivered accurately. You’ll help maintain a smooth flow of materials by managing inventory, processing shipments, and handling hazardous goods in compliance with DOT requirements. Your efforts will directly impact our ability to deliver high-quality aerospace products to our clients and partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipping: Assist in packaging items for customer shipments, label products, and process outgoing shipments in accordance with safety and quality standards.
Receiving: Accept deliveries, log shipments into the access database, verify the condition and accuracy of received goods, and process receipts into inventory systems.
Warehouse: Pull parts for kits, create kits, and store accepted stock into the appropriate inventory locations. Maintain inventory of shipping supplies to ensure operations run smoothly.
Hazardous Goods: Handle hazardous materials following DOT requirements and validate Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for incoming and outgoing chemical shipments.
Documentation & Verification: Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for identification and damage, ensuring accurate documentation is completed for internal and external customers.
Qualifications:
Required:
1+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse functions, preferably in a manufacturing or logistics environment.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Experience using database systems for tracking shipments and inventory.
Familiarity with hazardous goods handling and DOT requirements.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed in warehouse and shipping functions.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred:
Experience in an aerospace or manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and shipping/receiving procedures for chemicals.
Familiarity with inventory management systems and warehouse functions.
Forklift certification or experience.
