Responsibilities:
- Support manufacturing operations by performing fabrication and assembly of mechanical, electro-mechanical, and composite components across a range of aerospace systems.
- Perform machine setup, sheet metal fabrication, extrusion, tube bending, composite lay-up, and precision mechanical assembly tasks.
- Assemble, repair, and modify power plants, drive trains, avionics products, and wire harnesses.
- Conduct soldering on electronic and avionics components.
- Prepare test articles, fixtures, and data collection devices for various testing procedures.
- Perform basic organic chemical conversion, paint preparation, and apply protective coatings.
- Work from established drawings, schematics, and requirements on articles of limited complexity.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout the fabrication and assembly process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in manufacturing, assembly, or fabrication; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated work ethic, effective communication skills, and a strong sense of urgency in completing assigned tasks.
Preferred:
- Previous fabrication experience in aerospace or related industry.
- Experience with composite lay-up, tube bending, and machining tools.
