1st shift - CNC Machinist Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate a variety of CNC machines, ranging from vintage models to the latest dual spindle, lathes, and mills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for measuring parts using micrometers and calipers, setting up tooling, and maintaining high tolerances on short-run jobs with over 5,000 part numbers. The machinist will work with materials such as plastic, fiberglass, steel, and stainless steel in a job shop environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines, including both old and new models.
- Measure parts using micrometers and calipers.
- Pull and set up tooling, including live tooling in lathe machines.
- Work with a variety of brands such as Brother and manual lathes.
- Measure products and maintain high tolerances.
- Handle short runs with new setups daily.
- Operate Fanuc controls and troubleshoot programming if necessary.
Essential Skills- Experience in setting up CNC machines.
- Operation of lathe or mill machines.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Proficiency with micrometers and calipers.
- Experience in inspecting parts.
- Ability to perform program edits.
- Knowledge of Fanuc or G&M codes.
- Experience working with stainless steel parts.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Ravenna, Ohio.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $62400.00/yr.
