CNC Operator 3rd Shift

Job Description:

Adheres to company and customer specifications, work instructions, engineering prints and work orders.
tDocuments the materials and processes used in the process to maintain traceability of product.
tOperates CNC machine in a safe manner, including:
tLoads programs into CNC machine and execute program cutting of the material.
tCuts raw stock to approximate size necessary for part being machined.
tSecures and fixture raw stock of material into machine.
tSquares material prior to running program if necessary.
tMonitors the operating of the machine to ensure proper program performance.
tDeburs completed machine parts as time allows.
tProvides feedback to supervisor and programmer as to the performance of the program and tooling used for cutting the material.
tVerifies the accuracy of the parts using calipers, micrometers and other metrology equipment as a periphery inspection and report any suspect parts immediately to supervisor.
tEnsures machine is in proper working order and immediately report any issues or suspect of issues to supervisor.
tEnsures machine and area around machine is kept clean and neat as practical and mandatory prior to ending of shift.
tProperly maintains coolant as necessary, including removal of containments, proper dilution ratio and cleaning and recharging machine of coolant when necessary or when requested by supervisor.

Job Requirements:

Level 1 Qualification:
Education:\tHigh school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Experience:\t0-3 years of experience.
Computer Skills:\t
Familiarity of the basic operation of CNC machine and the understanding of G and M code is preferred or the ability to learn is mandatory.
Description:\tEntry level position within field.

Other Skills:\t
\tRequires little to no experience in discipline
\tConducts routine tasks as directed
\tClosely supervised with little latitude for independent judgment
\tThe ability to read and write English at a level necessary for successful job performance.
\tGood hand/eye coordination a must.
\tRequires sensitivity to safety regulations and requirements.
