AAA United States, Inc. has partnered with a company in Kinston, North Carolina that is one of the worlds largest manufacturers of aerostructures for commercial airplanes, defense platforms, and business/regional jets. With expertise in aluminum and advanced composite manufacturing solutions, the company’s core products include fuselages, integrated wings and wing components, pylons, and nacelles.
The Assembly Specialist- MFG is responsible for assembling, inspecting, and testing aircraft components and structures according to technical specifications, blueprints, and quality standards.
Essential Job Functions:
- Ensures the manufacture of completed units by overseeing activities such as assembly of components into subassemblies
- Mating or joining of structural assemblies (metallic and nonmetallic)
- Installation of systems (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic) that are fastened with screws, bolts, rivets, solder, crimping or swaging, connectors, or adhesives; and testing with mechanical, electrical, and electronic test equipment
- Interfaces with engineering, management, suppliers, and customers to meet product requirements and customer acceptance
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working with multiple cross-functional groups (Quality, Assembly, Procurement, Supply Chain, Machining, etc.)
- At least 5 years experience in a leadership/management role
- High School Diploma or GED
- Knowledge of excel, PowerPoint
