PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
- Under supervision - Work directly with Falcon operators/repair centers and coordinate with Dassault Aviation to produce structural repair solutions, modifications to wings, fuselage, skins, fairings, control surfaces, structural attachments, etc.
- Under supervision - Apply standard techniques, procedures and criteria to propose suitable dispositions supported by appropriate data and justifications
- Under supervision - Ensure FAA and EASA requirements by supplying substantiation as needed for repairs or modifications to aircraft structures
- Under supervision - Be the interface with our customers to support the implementation of Dassault Aviation approved modifications and repairs
- Under supervision - Coordinate with internal departments, e.g., Spares, Technical Support, Programs, to ensure efficient management of customers structural repair projects
- Under supervision - Travel as necessary to support Service Centers
NON-PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
- Work on special projects/additional duties relevant to this job level as assigned by management.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- BS degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
Experience:
- One (1) year of experience supporting technical aspects of an aircraft
Skills and abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers in a professional manner (oral and written communication)
- Basic project management skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects effectively
- Basic technical writing skills
- PC computer and CAD drawing experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, academic knowledge of Finite Element/3D Modeling using CATIA a plus
- Team player with a cooperative and helpful nature
- English language skills required.
ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with FAR 25 Airworthiness Standards: Transport Category Aircraft and/or MMPDS (formally MIL- Handbook 5)
- French language skills desired
- Pilots and/or A&P license
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
- Internship - Full time position – June through August 2026
- Typical office environment, with
- regular hangar/ramp visits
- Daily use of personal computer, desk and mobile phones
- Ability to lift ten pounds
- Moderate noise levels when on ramps/in hangars
- Ability to access all aircraft structural areas using stands, ladders, stairs, or squatting under wings, fuselage
- Travel as necessary to support Service Centers
