UX Designer, Prime Air (Drone Delivery)

As a UX Designer on this team, you will support and work on the full spectrum of the UX design process from discovery and research to concept development, wireframes, and high-fidelity mocks spanning multiple platforms. In collaboration with business leaders, engineers, product managers, and other UX designers, you will work from defined requirements to pressure test ideas through tactical visual execution. To be successful you must be a critical, inventive thinker with clear design chops, an excitement for understanding and using data, and an ability to communicate your ideas effectively.

Export Control License
This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon’s ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.


Key job responsibilities
Key Job Responsibilities:

- Design thoughtful, beautiful, and useful software user interfaces and experiences in a team environment for Prime Airs upcoming delivery center associate experience.

- Create user-centered designs by considering spanet analysis, customer feedback, site metrics, and usability findings.

- Use business requirements, user research to assist in developing scenarios, use cases, and high-level requirements.

- Design the UI architecture, interface, and interaction flow of applications and experiences.

- Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups, click-throughs, and prototypes.

- Develop and maintain detailed user-interface specifications and design patterns

- Work with program managers to plan projects for effective delivery while maintaining high standards for design.

- Be a passionate and effective advocate for design with non-design audiences.

- Write effectively to communicate design rationales and benefits to Amazon customers.
Job Requirements:
- 3+ years of design experience
- Experience with a variety of design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, Visio, Axure, and Dreamweaver
- Have an available online portfolio
- Experience in prototyping
- Proficiency in using Figma and Fig-Jam- Experience in a highly agile environment
- Experience working in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs
- Master's degree

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic spanets. The base pay for this position ranges from $72,900/year in our lowest geographic spanet up to $158,100/year in our highest geographic spanet. Pay is based on a number of factors including spanet location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
