Tasks
As the USM Customer Engineering Manager, you will perform the following duties:
- Investigate modification costs and potential opportunities for value increase
- Analyze retrofit initiatives and develop strategic purchasing and inventory proposals
- Oversee interchangeability issues and address value discrepancies in inventory
- Facilitate technical clarifications with teardown providers and vendors, addressing issues like mishandling and guaranteed repairable BER limits
- Define and maintain a technical portfolio tailored to the customer base, considering PMA, DER, and maintenance scopes
- Assess customer requirements, such as United’s ECRA, and develop corresponding inventory strategies
- Oversee and clarify documentation requirements, including B2B, commercial trace and certification standards
- Provide technical expertise and support

Requirements
If you want to be the next USM Customer Engineering Manager, you must fulfill the following requirements:
- High school diploma/GED desirable
- College degree/vocational training desirable
- Bachelor’s degree desirable
- 3-4 years of experience in Aviation MRO Engineering
- Fluency in English language required
- German language desirable
- Knowledge desirable in component/System Engineering; Sales/Customer Service (MRO)
- Computer literate skills in MS Office and SAP R3
- Excellent ability to work under pressure
