Technician - Integration Engineering II - B

Contract Position

Responsibilities:
- Assemble structural, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanically actuated components for New Shepard, New Glenn, and engine systems.
- Perform precision assembly to aerospace standards, ensuring compliance with quality and safety requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers to review design concepts, provide feedback on manufacturability, and support development tests.
- Review, edit, and follow work instructions for assembly tasks, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Plan and communicate complex mechanical installation steps to support efficient assembly.
- Work with hazardous systems containing chemicals and/or high-pressure environments while adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Troubleshoot and resolve assembly and structural issues, maintaining accurate documentation and procedural compliance.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 3-5+ years in precision assembly, preferably in aerospace, military hardware, or related industries.
- Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in drilling and preparing close-tolerance holes for structural fasteners.
- Experience with standard tools, fabrication equipment, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T standards, and assembly prints.
- Software & Tools: Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with 3D CAD tools (CREO preferred).
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to climb ladders and stairs, and work in small, restricted areas.
- Lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
- Work Authorization: Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident (Green Card holder), refugee, or have asylum status.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in aerospace or related fields.
- A&P license or equivalent experience in launch vehicle or propulsion system assembly and integration.
- Familiarity with pressurized system safety for pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Experience operating cranes, forklifts, and heavy lifting equipment around flight-critical hardware.
- Knowledge of rocket propellants, including hydrogen peroxide, RP, and cryogenics.
